Resident Spotlight: Ruby Tarbutton

Ruby says what you see with her is what you get. “I’m the same person no matter who’s around,” she said. What is this resident most proud of? “I’m most proud of the long, happy life I’ve had, and I think all my friends would say I’m fun and like to have a good time. I can make the best out of any situation.”

She has lived at Country Gardens for almost a year. “I was drawn to the community because of the atmosphere. It’s beautiful inside and out. The employees are so friendly. They always have been, from the first time I walked in to look around and they still are today. I couldn’t have found a better place.”

Manicures, Conga Lines and Dancing

Now that Ruby’s settled into the community, we asked what she loves most. “All my friends I’ve made here,” she answered. “We have a lot of fun together doing different things every day like our hair and nails, playing bingo, attending Sit and Fit and other exercise programs and playing dominos. There’s always something new and fun going on here. Every Friday, the employees dance through the building and do the conga line. That’s my favorite.”
